Tillerson Briefs Lawmakers on US Embassy Move to Jerusalem
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday that President Donald Trump has not yet decided if or when he will move the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He added that the Administration will spend the next six months that a recently signed waiver gives it to review the issue. On a related topic, he Tillerson also told the Committee that Palestinian Authority officials had given him private assurances that they were discontinuing the policy of granting monies to the families of Palestinian terrorists killed or imprisoned in the course of carrying out attacks on Israelis. This was a direct contradiction of public statements made by senior PA officials in recent days.

Tillerson added that the steps the Trump Administration is pushing Israel and the PA to take are aimed at re-starting negotiations, possibly by the end of the summer.
